Back From Paradise

Did you miss me?  Ha!  I spent last week on Paradise Island at Atlantis with my family.  Great trip!  I would recommend it to anyone, especially anyone with kids over 48 inches tall.  It is very kid friendly and very relaxing.  I’m sure the fact that my cell phone did not work over there had something to do with that.

This week, try to get to one or both of the area council meetings.   Edmond is meeting tomorrow at Charleston’s at noon.  Their speaker is Lee Caesar, Caesar Appraisal, discussing what else…Home Appraisal Procedures.  Just when I thought this issue had gone away, two weeks ago we had a home that a VA appraiser said didn’t appraise.   The buyer is chopping at the bit to get in and the appraiser won’t work with us at all…here we go again.  We may also be able to hear from the Edmond city officials about their plans to implement the 2009 IRC.  Southwest council is meeting Thursday at noon at Willow Creek Golf Club.  We will find out how the SW Showcase of Homes went for everyone and hear from Leslie Boswell with the Down Syndrome Association of Oklahoma.

I have found a website to get safety manuals for almost every trade at a very reasonable price.  I bought the one for Painting Contractors to see what it actually consisted of and it is good.  The manuals are in MS Word format and completely customizable.  The prices are $60 for English only and $80 for English/Spanish.  The site is www.esafetymanual.com.  Remember the new OSHA Guidelines will begin being enforced as of September 15th, 2011.

Vacations over and now it’s time for me to play catch-up.  Oh well…it was fun while it lasted.

Have a great week,
